About Twenty Hands

Twenty Hands is a Maternal Infant Health Program that started in July 2013. Our program serves pregnant women and infants up to age one. Twenty Hands is a home visitation program funded by Medicaid benefits, which is free to our families. We are an enthusiastic, passionate team of women that include registered nurses, social workers, and a lactation consultant. We serve families in Allegan, Calhoun, and Kalamazoo county. In addition, we also serve Hispanic and English families in Calhoun county.

Our Goal

The goal of Twenty Hands, as a Maternal Infant Health Program, is to provide culturally competent care coordination to pregnant women and babies that promotes healthy pregnancies, healthy birth outcomes, and healthy infant development during the first year of life. We accomplish this goal through dedicated home visiting that focuses on closing the gap on racial disparities and contributes to creating change in the counties we serve.

What We Do

During our home visits, relationships are built with families by providing maternal and infant education, referrals to local resources, and most importantly we provide support and advocate for pregnant women and their babies.
